Artvesta’s Approach

Share

Unlike the wedding cake, the flowers, or the decorations, the pictures taken on your wedding day are meant to last a lifetime. When memories fade, photographs attest. This is especially true when referring to a joyous family occasion.

Like precious moments, wedding photographs will be around long after a one-year anniversary.

Because the contributions of the photographer and the videographer are so enduring, when selecting a professional photographer, certain considerations should be taken:

1. Photography style

Artvesta studio offers a lively mix of documentary and posed pictures. We are committed to capturing your story from the best angle and to preserving the feeling of your special day. Remember that spontaneous tear in your dad’s eye while walking you down the aisle, the laugh of your best friend when she was giving her reception speech, and that loving glance of your mother-in-law when she and her son were swinging in their special dance. Those fleeting moments captured by our observant photographers preserve emotional depth and add liveliness to a standard old-school sequence of posed portraits.

2. Prints and delivery time

Artvesta studio provides approximately 400 printed 4′ x 6′ proof photographs along with approximately 1,000 hi-resolution retouched digital photographs recorded on a CD. We provide our clients with retouched and printed photographs within three to four weeks after the event. We also provide our customers with a free web gallery so that it can be shared with their loved ones.

3. People skills

At Artvesta studio we fully realize how important it is to be patient and accommodating with our customers, their families and friends. Our clients have graciously provided us with a testimonial, “… During the wedding, the Artvesta studio team was seamless. They managed to capture every detail of the wedding without ever being in the way… They were very warm, accommodating, and personal and made us feel comfortable and relaxed, which is important when dealing with such stressful event as wedding planning…they treated us with patience and respect throughout the whole experience. We would strongly recommend Artvesta studio to our friends, just as our friends recommended them to us. Thank you for making such wonderful pictures for us. It was a pleasure dealing with you.”

When selecting a professional videographer, certain considerations should be taken:

1. Video Format

There are two dominant video formats available on today’s market: SD (standard definition) and HD (high definition). Standard definition video is delivered on a DVD and can be played on regular DVD players or personal  computers. High definition video is delivered on a Blu-Ray disc and can be played only on special Blu-Ray players and Hi-Definition TV screens. The quality of an HD picture is significantly superior than that of an SD picture, although to watch your video in HD format you might need to invest into a new player and a TV set. The HD vs SD factor should be carefully considered if you are planning to mail copies of your video to loved ones overseas — they might not have suitable equipment to watch your video.

2. Video Editing Style

It is crucial to understand that no matter how good the raw footage is, it  goes through a considerate amount of post-production work, which includes editing out certain scenes in the movie, creating introductory,  funny moments, and highlights blocks, adding titles, video filters and transitions. A video editor determines how your video will look in the end, that’s why an editing style that a studio favors is very important. Artvesta studio’s video production is edited in documentary style with some up-beat segments. We include an introductory block and highlights in the beginning, we proceed with getting ready, photo-session, ceremony, reception, and funny moments segments. Making video edits, we use music soundtracks selected and provided by our clients.

3. Delivery Time

Most of our clients receive their video within three months after the event. Unfortunately we cannot start working on video footage until all necessary materials, such as baby pictures and audio tracks, have been collected. We kindly ask our clients to provide all media ASAP so that we can keep our deadlines.

You are welcome to schedule an appointment during which we will discuss how we can provide you with the help you need in professional services: photography and videography.
